I want to acknowledge the artist responsible for the piece that is detailed up there on that header of mine. The piece is entitled “Birch in Four Seasons” and the artist is Kim McKellar.
I stumbled upon her work in a Google image search about seasons and the moment I saw it I knew it was the image for me. I contacted her and she graciously gave me permission to use her work. She also read the blog!!
She gave me another gift that I would like to share with you. She shared with me her wisdom, she said:
Be gentle with yourself, be kind. Offer yourself the same compassion and encouragement as you would your closest friend. Be willing to bend in the wind and yet find the things that keep you rooted.
